Campus Garden
Where does zucchini come from? Children learn about our earth, life cycles, and the origin of food as they care for their Campus Garden. Each classroom has a specific plot. They decide what they will grow – flowers, vegetables, watermelon? The choices are endless!
Children then work with their teachers to till the soil, plant the seeds, tend to the seedlings, weed, and finally harvest. While students might think eating the fruits of their labors is the greatest reward, we believe that teaching them to nurture our earth is wonderful, too.
